Volunteer Orientation Handbook

Be part of one of Mill Valley's most exciting annual celebrations.

Each year dedicated volunteers help us produce this internationally acclaimed Festival. It's a great way to get involved, make new friends and see great films!

In order to volunteer, you must:

• Attend a sign-up session and orientation (See dates below)
  
• Volunteer with at least 2 different departments
• Attend volunteer meetings and trainings for your shifts
• Be friendly, supportive and flexible!

In return we’ll give you:

• A Film Festival coupon for every shift you work
• A free t-shirt
• A party at the end of the Festival to celebrate your hard work
• A unique volunteering experience and the opportunity to see independent films!

NEW TO MVFF VOLUNTEERING?

Welcome! We use Shiftboard, an online scheduling site and database that enables you to manage your own schedule and even sign up to receive email reminders! Register to volunteer at www.shiftboard.com/mvff (click on the word “register” above the login boxes) and wait to receive your welcome email with further instructions. The next step is to attend orientation and one of the sign up sessions (dates listed below). The sign-up sessions will be your first chance to sign-up for volunteer shifts so we hope to see you there!

Log-in to www.shiftboard.com/mvff and make sure that your contact information is up to date (click on “my account”). If you do not remember your password click on “Forgot Password/Account” above the login boxes and you will be sent a reminder email.

Shifts are still available for the Festival (10/8-18). Check them out on Shiftboard. We would appreciate your help!

You can get your MVFF Volunteer t-shirt at your first shift (we only have L & XL left).

9/24/09
Shiftboard's live date has been postponed. On 9/30 after 1:00 PM you can log onto Shiftboard to view your schedule and sign up for any remaining shifts (www.shiftboard.com/mvff).

Volunteer Orientation is this Saturday (9/26), 10 AM at the Rafael (not mandatory but encouraged)

Hospitality Lounge shifts are FULL (as well as the waitlist). Please check back next year!
